1. Start the engine
Make sure all personnel stay away from the machine and sound the horn as a warning.
Set the accelerator to the low-speed idle position, insert the key and start.
When starting cold, the engine preheating procedure should be followed.
2. Preheat the ironing plate
If hot asphalt mixture is to be laid, the screed must be preheated in advance (usually taking 20 to 40 minutes, adjusted according to the ambient temperature).
Start the heating system (gas or electric heating) and set the temperature within an appropriate range (usually matching the temperature of the mixture, approximately 140-160°C) to prevent the mixture from adhering to the base plate.
3. System Preheating
Let the engine run at medium idle speed for a period of time to heat up the hydraulic oil and circulate it to all working devices.
