Product Introduction
The XZ680A horizontal directional drill, with its efficient construction capabilities, intelligent configuration and reliable after-sales service, has become the mainstream choice in the trenchless field. Its technical parameters are on par with those of international first-line brands, with a significant advantage in cost performance. It is particularly suitable for large-scale projects such as municipal engineering and oil and gas pipelines.
Product Advantage
Equipped with a Cummins QSL8.9-C325 turbocharged engine, it has a rated power of 239kW (2200rpm), providing powerful and stable power output. By adopting closed energy-saving circuits, load sensitivity and electro-hydraulic proportional control technology, the power can be automatically adjusted according to the working conditions, reducing energy consumption and enhancing operational flexibility.
Push-pull force: Maximum push-pull force 725kN, suitable for long-distance pipeline laying and complex stratum operations.
Cab: An all-weather air-conditioned cab that can rotate 45°, equipped with ergonomic operation handles and an intelligent display screen, enhancing comfort during long-term operation.
Floating technology: The floating design of the power head spindle reduces the wear of the drill pipe thread and extends the service life of the drill pipe. The elastic balance release technology of PE pipes prevents damage to equipment caused by backdrag reaction force.
Automation configuration: Optional semi-automatic grippers, wireless guidance systems and automatic anchoring devices are available to simplify the construction process and improve accuracy.

Product Uses
Trenchless construction: It is suitable for crossing roads, rivers, buildings and other obstacles to lay pipelines such as gas, water supply and drainage, and power cables, avoiding the environmental damage caused by traditional excavation.
Stratum compatibility: It can handle non-hard rock strata such as sandy soil, clay, and pebbles, with a working temperature range of -10 ℃ to +45℃, adapting to the climatic conditions of most regions in China.
Product Operate Guide
Before operation, on-site investigation must be completed to clarify underground pipelines and geological conditions. Check the engine oil level, hydraulic oil level, and the integrity of components such as drill pipes and mud systems to ensure there is no leakage. At the same time, wear protective equipment properly. When installing the equipment, it is necessary to align the drilling rig with the centerline of the pipeline, adjust the mud ratio and control direction parameters, and anchor the machine body to ensure stability.
After starting, preheat the engine to the specified temperature first, then proceed with the drilling of the guide hole. The direction is controlled in real time through a wireless measuring instrument, and the machine is pushed forward at a constant speed and continuously injected with mud for wall protection. After the guide hole is formed, replace the hole expander to expand the hole step by step. Finally, connect the pipeline and drag it back at a constant speed. Monitor the torque and tensile force parameters throughout the process.
After the operation, shut down the equipment, clean up the site, and keep good records of the inspection and maintenance of the drilling tools. Operators must be trained before taking up their posts. In case of any abnormality, the emergency stop button should be pressed immediately for handling.
FAQ
A: Anti-wear hydraulic oil at -20 ℃ and diesel at -10 ℃ need to be replaced. Preheat the engine to a water temperature above 50℃ before starting. The mud system needs to be added with antifreeze to prevent the pipelines from freezing. After the machine stops, the residual liquid in the mud pump should be drained.
A: Mostly due to filter element blockage (clean or replace the suction filter element), safety valve failure (calibrate the pressure to 10MPa), or pipeline leakage (check the joint seal). The equipment is equipped with a stepless speed regulation system for mud flow, which can first reduce the speed to troubleshoot.
A: If accompanied by a decrease in torque, it is mostly due to wear of the hydraulic motor (requiring maintenance). If the abnormal noise is intermittent, it might be that the drill pipe holder is loose (fastening the clamps). The equipment is equipped with a torque monitoring and alarm function. In case of any abnormality, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
A: Standard configuration includes Cummins engine, 600L/min mud pump, and 2-ton truck-mounted crane. Optional components include semi-automatic grippers, wireless guidance systems and automatic anchoring devices. Among them, the guidance system can improve the direction control accuracy to ±5cm.
A: It can lay PE pipes, steel pipes and cable conduits with diameters ranging from φ400 to φ800mm. The expansion heads should be matched according to the type of pipeline (elastic expansion heads should be selected for PE pipes and rigid expansion heads for steel pipes), and the maximum weight of the pipeline that can be adapted should not exceed 15 tons / 100m.
A: Equipped with a manual operating system, the drill pipe can be manually retracted when power is off. The cab is equipped with an emergency stop button, which can instantly cut off the power output. The electrical system is equipped with real-time alarms for parameters such as engine water temperature and hydraulic oil level, providing early warnings of fault risks.
