Product Introduction
The XP203 tire roller is a large mechanical drive, hydraulic vibration tire roller with a working mass of 20 tons. It is specially designed for the final compaction of various base layers and asphalt surface layers, and is particularly renowned for its unique kneading compaction effect, excellent water sealing performance and high flatness. It is an indispensable key equipment in high-standard engineering projects such as high-grade highways, airports and DAMS.
Product Advantage
* Shangchai SC4H type diesel engine with power of 86KW, speed of 1800r/min, in compliance with China's non road Stage-ll emission regulations, greatly improved the fuel economy.
* Pavement layer will be compacted by special pneumatic tire. It will not damage compaction materials. Flexible compacting function of tire can make compaction material obtain dense pavement surface course.
* Ground pressure of the tire can be regulated by decreasing or increasing balance weight and changing inflation pressure of tire to enhance compaction performance and enlarge the scope of application; compacted sandy soil, composite soil and clay soil can obtain good compaction effect to avoid false compaction phenomenon.
* Full hydraulic steering, air-assist hydraulic brake and multi-gear shifting transmission system are utilized, fast and flexible. It is more convenient for transfer between construction sites.
* Front wheel swing mechanism will be adopted. When the roller is working on unleveled ground, the uniform wheel pressure grounding can be guaranteed and unleveled part of compacted materials can be compacted uniformly.

Product Uses
High-grade highways: Especially the final compaction of the asphalt surface layer and the compaction of the seal layer, are the preferred equipment for pursuing high smoothness and high density of the road surface.
• Airport runway: Compaction of the base and surface layers of airport runways with extremely high requirements for flatness.
• DAMS and embankments: The compaction of base materials such as earth and gravel, with their kneading effect, can make the compacted layer closely bonded.
• Large-scale infrastructure projects: Compaction operations for large-scale projects such as railway subgrades, port terminals, and industrial sites.
Product Operate Guide
Before operating the XP203 tire roller, it is necessary to check the oil, tire pressure and sprinkler system. After starting, idle for preheating. During operation, adjust the tire pressure (0.3-0.7MPa) to adapt to different materials. When rolling, pay attention to the overlap of tires and turn off the vibration at the end of the compaction. After the operation, the equipment needs to be cleaned, with a focus on cleaning the tire treads. Parking on slopes is strictly prohibited. When operating, keep away from high-voltage lines. Please strictly follow the random operation manual specifically.
FAQ
A: Yes. The automatic centralized inflation system is an important optional feature of the XP203. It is strongly recommended to choose it if the budget allows. It can greatly enhance the adaptability of the equipment and the operational efficiency, and is a manifestation of modern construction.
A: If the equipment is equipped with an automatic centralized inflation system, the operator can directly set the required air pressure on the control panel in the cab. The system will automatically inflate/deflate all tires to the target value. If there is no automatic system, external air pumps and pressure gauges need to be used to manually inflate and deflate each tire independently, which is a rather cumbersome and time-consuming process.
1. Temperature control: Compaction must be carried out when the asphalt mixture is within an appropriate temperature range (usually the final pressure is not lower than 90℃).
2. Water spraying control: The amount of water sprayed should be moderate, just enough to moisten the tires and not stick to the material.
Too much will lower the temperature of the mixture, while too little will cause it to stick to the wheel.
3. Rolling speed: Maintain a uniform and smooth running speed, and avoid sudden starts, braking or steering.
4. Number of rolling passes: The number of rolling passes should follow the construction process requirements and is usually used in conjunction with a steel wheel roller.
Check whether the pressures of the left and right tires are consistent.
Check whether the tire wear is uniform.
Check whether there is one-sided resistance in the braking system or steering system.
A: Please be sure to refer to the random "User and Maintenance Manual". Generally, follow the following principles (whichever comes first in terms of time or working hours)
• Daily (8-10 hours) : Inspect, clean and check the oil and water levels around the machine.
• Every 50 hours: Check the fasteners, lubricate all hinge points and bearings.
• Every 250 hours: Change engine oil and oil filter, clean air filter, and check the braking system.
• Every 500/1000/2000 hours: There are more detailed maintenance items, such as replacing the hydraulic oil filter, fuel filter, coolant, etc.
Clean the residual materials on the fuselage and tires to prevent corrosion.
Lift the tire pads off the ground and reduce the tire pressure to half pressure.
Start the engine once a month and run the hydraulic system for no less than 10 minutes.
